Queens day

Today we've celebrated the Queen's birthday. It was such a good day! Samuel and I went to 'the village', downtown Hilversum. He bought a motorcycle-toy and a firetruck for €0,20 at the flee marked. We are so lucky with this warm weather, it's going on for weeks now!
Here are some pic's of this weekend.

I've made this LO this weekend!
It's black cardstock with fabric from "De Creatie", Thickers from AC. The lyrics are from my favorite Prince-song.
Oh, oh, I've been taged by Emine....

Nova @ The North Pole

I've produced 4 reports from the North pole (about the effects of global warming etc.). My colleague Hein Hansen and camera person Remco Bikkers send me this pictures this morning. Ooh, I wish I was there with them... it could be very possible that all of this is gone in 30 years!
You can watch the first report: here. It aired yesterday evening.

I love scrap-goodies

Another Happy Mail. From Staci, look how generous she is!

This mail makes me extra Happy. I've discovered Staci's blog, because of this project and I'm a daily visitor now. Her photography and LO-style is a big insperation for me. I find it all very 'journalistic'! So, check that site :-)

I can't wait to play with all this goodies. Thank you Staci!

Warm Weekend

This weekend rocked! We had wonderful sunny weather (thanks to global warming (:-( !) We've worked in the garden, played with water, hung out with friends. We had fun!
And I also did some scrapping! I'm so busy with the Happy Mail project,... (;-)
I will share some of that later (I have problems with my scanner)..

So, about the weather: I've produced a series of reports about global warming at the Northern Pole. My colleague arrived there this morning (he's just send me a text, it's cold over there). If your Dutch watch
NOVA this week!

About happy mail: look at the yummy goodies I've received from Michelle, from New Zealand!

Happy Mail again!

Look, I've got Happy Mail again!
The first one is from Jennifer and the second one is from Tammie. Thank you girls! Can't wait to play with all those journaling spots!
I love all the goodies that I receive with Happy Mail. But my favorite thing is the idea that somebodys saw something or made something and it made her think of me. And that someone had put my name on an envelope, sealed it up and sent it off. That is what is so special to me about this Happy Mail project. It truly is the thought that counts. It makes me smile!

This morning i went to the dentist. My whole face felt numb for the rest of the day.. unfortunatly I had to work and talk all day. Now I'm feeling better again.

Check this out!

We are getting a lot of mail these days, at rosestreet 81!
Samuel's Birthday is next Saturday (only 2 night's of sleep left!) And he received a very generous package from his nephew Oskar from Blackpool England!
And I'm in the Happy mail project. Yesterday I received a lot of goodies from my Happy Mail partner Sally, I love it all, The Texas Keyring went straight to my keys. And Samuel played all day long with Thomas the train, it was a gift from Sally's son Carter. (There is a cute clip on You Tube, where he is playing with the train)
Today I received the coolest magnet's from Gigi. She, is also a member of the Happy Mail group and, has send me this as a RAK (Random Act of Kindness). What I also like about this kind of mail, are the most creative handmade cards and tag's that come with the goodies.
There will be a second project, if you would like to be part of that; check this blog.

Good Friday!

It's such a sunny week! Yesterday we put the sand box in the garden with fresh sand. Samuel was so excited, this morning, that he couldn't wait to play; still wearing his pyjama's.

Got Chocolate milk?

What are your favorite childhood flavours? For me one of them is chocolate milk.
After years of not drinking it...Rinse introduced it to Samuel. And he was, from the first zipp, very addicted!
(I'm very happy that he also likes the 'healthier' soy-version)
This is my first LO made with my first Eye Candy Kit. I just love the stamp on the journaling.
