Berlin

So, two European cities in less than a week. I wish that I would have more weeks like this! Wow, how I love to travel. This trip to Berlin, was for pleasure only!
The tree of us, stayed at the apartment of my colleague Dieuwke, very cosy!
We saw the most important sight's...but with a 3 year old, we saw it from a different perspective; there are a lot of fences and monuments to climb on and there are a lot of little rocks everywhere to take a long. We have had a great time!
We took a lot of fun pictures, I can't wait to scrap them...

Warsaw

Just came back, this afternoon, from a work-trip to Warsaw. Just wanted to share some pic's. The one at the bottom; is the view from my hotelroom; looking at Warsaw's landmark. The Palace of Culture and Science.

The cute guy with the flowers, was one of the demonstraters for equality @ The Gay Pride. I've interviewd him, about gay rights in Poland.

If you click here, you'll get to the link to the report.

Mommy's work

Today I've had to work for a couple hours. I've had to finish some preparations for a trip to Warsaw tomorow. We are going there to make a report about the Gay Pride Parade (and the people against that). It will air next saturday.
This Ascension-Day (most people didin't work today) was a good moment to show Samuel and Rinse how my workspace had changed after it was rebuild and redecorated.

Happy M-day

Two cards. It's a scraplift from a tag that I've received from Athena (from Hawaii) with Happy Mail. I love the expression scraplifted, it sounds so much nicer than: "I've Nicked it", LOL.

Our mothers will receive them in their mail tomorrow.

If you are a mother: Happy Mothersday next sunday!

We are so lucky today!

A neighbour (one I've never met before) was at the door this early morning, to tell us about a tree that almost fell on our car. Last night we had a strong wind here. As you can see we were very lucky. The two trees, didn't harm our car at all! Wow, but I feel sorry for the tree's, I liked them in my view from our bedroom window.

Tonight I'm watching the Eurovision Song contest. Hoping that The Netherlands will get past the semi final. The singer and the songwriter are from my hometown, Lelystad. What makes me extra proud... I'm also packaging some goodies for my Happy Mail group.

Overlay

I'm very tired. Had a long (interesting) research interview for work. I will share this story later with you (when we've broadcasted it). Some stories make me realise, more than ever, how happy and not very complicated my life is.
Now, I've started to make some card's for Mothersday. They are my first cards, and to go save: I'll scraplift a card that I received from a dear Happy Mailer.

Here is a LO ("ourself") with overlay's that I've made myself. I love that. I'm looking for swirly stamps & more bling now, to make some more. tfl :-)

Family

Nothing much to tell here, we are doing fine. We're kind of busy pottytraining Samuel, but don't worry; I won't share the details (LOL)!
I've read the blog of a politician for work, the other day, and he'd shared some pictures of his granddaughters poo on his blog...that was to much info for me!

Here is another LO from this weekend's class. I've made the background, myself. I've also stamped the overlay's. I love that technique!
TFL!

Something completely different

I've made this one during that class yesterday. It was the first time for me to paint my own background. I've tried to copy the colours from the wallpaper in the picture.
The journaling is written on Tipexx (corrector tape). The quote is from my son Samuel. ("What is it, that I have", "Do I have itch?") He had his first mosquito bite... (I've used AC thickers for the title). The picture is actually a storyboard, that my camera makes from video's.
TFL!
I've started two other LO's at that same class, but I still have to finish those, will show them later.

PS...I'm being really nervous now ;-)..Samuel has his first nap without a diaper...(!)

Dutch Dare

This LO is one inspired by the Dutch Dare blog. It's the first time I've participated in this!
This weeks dare is to make a LO about your time, your week, your thoughts. How would you summarize the week behind you in one word?
Was there a major event you had been looking forward to? The requirements were: use one word to describe your week, to be the title of your lay out. Use ONE of everything else.
So I used one Basic Grey paper (blush Delish) for the background, One pice of paper (Hambly) One Journalingspot, One flower, One ribbon, One chipboard and One rub-on. Most of the supplies where from the ABFAB RAK I've received in the past two month's from my Happy Mail Girls. It was extra fun to scrap this!
So, I was planting a lot this past week. I love to work in the garden, it's so relaxing!
I've tried to reflect the feeling of working with plant's and dirt in the pices of paper. The one from Hambly, that I've used for the title is brown on the outside and black on the inside.

I'm looking foreward to attend a class tomorrow at The Creatie. It's about stamping :-)

Tag & Happy Mail

First things first; My good friend Christa gave birth to a girl. Her name is Carice: I love that name!

I've been tagged by Emine; to tell you 10 weird things about myself. So, here we go:
1. I'm a native speaker in 3 languages: Polish, Esperanto and Dutch.
2. My parents did not own a car for environmental reasons.
3. I don't like going to bed early...
4. When I was little, I was always late for school... it was just across the street. Now I'm always late for work...it's just 8 minutes on my bike.
5. I was never interested in drugs. I tried some marijuana once or twice but that was it. (yes, I grew up in the Netherlands..It's not that bad here...)
6. I worked for a Hardcore Techno Lifestyle Magazine and went to a lot of raves.
7. I'm addicted to news. When I wake up, I turn the TV-on and watch the news page on teletext. I'ts also tha last thing before I go to sleep.
8. When I start to read a book, I can not, not finish it.... Donna Tart's secret History was lying around in my living room and bedroom for more than 5 years. I was so releaved when I've finaly closed it.
9. I know a lot of (useless) facts about The Eurovision Song contest
10. Cooking is to me like mathematics... I always forget one or two ingredients or mess it up in a different way. I really have to practice hard for a couple of times before I get a recipe right. Despite of that all, I really like to cook. But when we have people over for dinner, my husband does the cooking, just in case...

I tag Meg, my new Happy Mail partner!

So, I had two happy mail days in a row.
Yesterday I've received this from Veronica (I love her blog and her work). She is also very generous and shared a lot of goodies. Look at all the Hambly! Can't wait to play with that all, I've already used some of it today on a new LO.

Today the mailman rang at my door, with happy Mail from Erin. A lot of scrap goodies, but also this cute notebook. I will look hot with that, while taking notes for work! And on top of all those goodies (..my first ghost shapes!), she has shared some veggie recipes with me. I'm already working on some of my success stories ( the ones I can cook "in public". LOL), but translating them from Dutch to English gives me a hard time.

Mother

Here is one of my favorite pictures with Samuel. The translation of the title is: "I am your mother". The journaling is about what being Samuel's mother means to me.

I think this picture shows, how proud I am of my son and it's about me in a new chapter of my live (and enjoying that a lot).

Yes, I was tagged...and I will answer those questions asap. But it's very hard to find 7 bloggers that aren't tagged recently :-(....
