Great hair (I love it like this)

I've just came home from work (worked for 14 hours). It was fun, but I have to unwind a bit before going to sleep.

So, I've just scanned the LO, that I've made yesterday. My first 6x12 page :-)
Journaling: "Because of my hormones I didn't loose any hair during my pregnancy. I had a lot of hair, it was thick en it was easy to style.
Nevertheless, that same hormones let it fell out, tree months after Samuel was born. I've lost a lot of it.
I miss my pregnant hair".

(PS. How do you like my new gnome stamp?)

7 not so well known things

I've been tagged by Sarah to tell you 7 not so well known things about myself

So, here we go:
1. I'm a native speaker in 3 languages: Polish, Esperanto and Dutch.
2. My parents did not own a car for environmental reasons.
3. When I was little, I was always late for school... it was just across the street. Now I'm always late for work...it's just 8 minutes on my bike.
4. I was never interested in drugs. I tried some marijuana once or twice but that was it. (yes, I grew up in the Netherlands..It's not that bad here...)
5. I'm addicted to news. When I wake up, I turn the TV-on and watch the news page on teletext. It's also the last thing before I go to sleep.
6. I know a lot of (useless) facts about The Eurovision Song contest.
7. I was a drum majorette for a couple of years, during elementary school and high school...that's very un-cool here in The Netherlands.

I've had a very busy week at work. Yesterday I've had a small scoop. I've found the colleague of the killed Korean reverend hostage. The Korean that I've found is also a reverend in the same church and he lost a good friend and he is afraid of the lives of the other hostages in Afghanistan (he knows 20 people of that group). The special thing about this interview was; that it was in Dutch, this Korean did his university in The Netherlands! I felt very sorry for him. I hope that the Korean hostages will be free soon!

Have a great weekend!

Hot fun in the summertime

I love this song from Sly and the Family stone very much. I've wanted to use this title for a long time. This weeks Effers Dare is about using fabric; I love challenges because it makes me use stuff that I wouldn't use normally. And...I've challenged myself also to use buttons and stitch them (really...when buttons fall of my clothes...I just don't wear them anymore or I bring them to a seamstress LOL).
Have a great weekend!

Sweet!

Made this simple page yesterday. The title is: Sweet!

Today was a wonderful, warm day. I was having, my weekly, "Mummy-day", so I didn't go to work. Rinse was home to and we did a lot of cleaning. And I did something, I wanted to do for a long time; I've pimped our garbage containers. But first Samuel helped cleaning them.

Happy B-day mum!

So, it's my mothers Birthday today. It's a bit sad, because it's the first one without my father around. He passed away last august.
Here is a great picture, that my father took, of her with me when I was a toddler.

Something different and very Happy: I participated in the fabulous Happy Mail Group, one of the Happy Mailers was Erin. She had the best idea: she's sent HS playing cards to most of the girls in that group, with the request to alter the card and send it back to her. I was very happy to alter one of Erin's cards. But I'm also a bit nervous now, I hope that she likes this:

I love vintage paper

I've made some card's yesterday.
The one with that Seventies look is made with never used wrapping paper, that I've found at my mothers house. She thinks that its early '80 ore late '70.
It's nice to find some unique stuff sometimes. I'm always looking for item's that I can use for scrapbooking, I just have to...since the LSS closed. But that it also part of the fun.
Have a great Sunday!

Time to shine

Today Rinse received his new publicity pictures, from his work (he is a DJ at "Caz!" , a national radio station).
I Like this one the most. But there is a strange situation now with his work, the station was sold out of the blue(a couple of weeks ago -during our vacation-). But for now his programme still exists.

So I made this page inspired by Effersdare #70. This time the dare was about recycling things. This was so much fun!
The recycled items are:
A pink ribbon, that was rapped around a present I've received,
The black damask paper is a wallpaper sample,
The green, yellow pink harmonica paper used to be the tail from a ice cream-peacock,
Embellishment: butterfly hanger, from one of the necklaces I wear in this pictures.
Have a great day!

7-7-7

Rinse and I went to two very nice parties yesterday. First one B-day party in a hip café in the "Pijp" -neighbourhood in Amsterdam and later we went to the museumnight in Utrecht. We went to the railwaymuseum over there, the trains were great, but there were also a lot of famous dj's (like Richard Dorfmeister and Rob Stenders) We had a great time!

Whem we came back, in the early morning, the Live Eart Concert was still going on. We were just in time to watch Alicia Key's performance. Did you watch that? OMG! When did she get so hot? I love, love, love her new song.

I love Corfu

So, here are some pictures from our holiday.
Samuel and Rinse:

Some Greek products. I always try to buy 'normal' products instead of traditional souvenirs. Look, I found handkerchiefs with my name on it!:
Samuel playing on top of a mountain:

Rinse and Samuel on the bus to Kerkiya:
Samuel likes to take pictures from us: Silvia and Samuel: Our swimming pool:
Of scrapping now, I've got a ton of cute stuf waiting for me to play. My friend Erin send me this cute 'love, Elsie' Toby-cardstock stickers, that go perfect with tose pictures...
...And I've received my 'story of my life kit' after winning the effers dare :-)))

O-oh, Sarah tagged me...have to find 7 strange things about myself...

Corfu

We've had a wonderful vacation for the last two weeks. We went to the Greek island Corfu, it's very beautiful over there. It's so green and there are so many different flowers! The capital of Corfu is also a very interesting city (with a lot of cool SHOE shop's ;-). We've had so much fun and we are so relaxed now.
Bookmark this site if you have plan's to visit Corfu one day: Panorama Hideaway
It was the best place, and the owners Anita and Saki are great!
Now, I'm trying to organize the 665 (!) pictures we've took..... and tomorrow I'll go back to work.
