New pages

It's the beginning of a new school year, so there is a lot of new fun and girlie stuff at my favorite store: HEMA
I really like stickers and fun tape...I'm so happy that scrap booking gives me the possibility to let the teenager inside me loose ;-) LOL
And I've also made a little box with keepsakes from our Vienna trip. We've used the map in the background so often, that it was torn at one point.

First scrapbookpages

I've got this great pictures and great scrapbook supplies, I'm also participating in a on-line class by Shimelle...but no time at all to scrap :-(
But the good news is...Yesterday I've got officially promoted at work; I'm a senior editor now! I'm extremely happy with that.

A little while ago, Fauve posted some of her first scrapbook pages at her blog. That made me go through my old photo albums. And this is what I've found. The book of my first vacation with Rinse. In 1993 to Paris (...gosh...we were still kids..). I remember collecting stuff to ad to this book. I will post some first page that I call "scrapped the American way" later.

Vienna

This weekend Rinse and I went to Vienna, to Lisa & Onko's wedding! It was a very beautiful and fun wedding. We met a lot of cool new people! We've also had a great opportunity to visit this great city, full of history! We've missed Samuel very much, but he was in very good hands! Here are some pic's of this mini-vacation. More to come later!

Enjoying our day

We went to "Slagharen" today. For Samuel it was the first time in a park like that. For us to, as a family.. I've had a lot of flashback's to my childhood today. Unbelievable how much stayed the same for 25 years...
We were lucky; today was a beautiful sunny day! The rain started when we were on the road back!

Runaway Boy

How was your week? My week was crazy; I've did 16 hours overtime, that's about two days. But I've had a great time, did a lot of stories. About foot-and-mouth outbreak in the UK, doping at the Tour de France and illegal child adoption. At the end of the week I've received a nice surprise at work... (but can't share that yet)!

Today I've made a simple page; with a lot of Gaffer tape!
Runaway Boys, is a great song from the eighties, performed by the "Stray Cats". I've used their title for a page about Samuel running away when I tried to take a cool picture.
Journaling: "Inspired by the pictures of two penguins traveling around the world, we wanted to take similar pics of you. The first possibility was here in Barcelona. But as you see, you really didn't think the same. OK, pictures together with dad are fine to".
Picture 1: Try to get loose first..
Picture 2: And just go!
Have a good week!
