I do my little turn on the catwalk

There is so much fun going on at Scrapinstyletv.com (SiS)! I'm organising the first crop for Dutch SiSters (members of SiS). We're having a crop at 17th November, there is already a lot of pre-fun going on at the message board. I can't wait till we meet in person!
I was struggeling with paint on a playingcard, that didn't work. Then I've asked for some help at SiStv. A couple of minutes later I've received a lot of suggiestions from other members, that heleped me a lot (I'm posting my first cards later this week). This webside and community rocks!

There is a new magazine about scrapping in the Netherlands ('Scrap van a-z'). It comes with a small scrap kit. Perfect for anybody that want's to start scrapping. I've made this simple layout with that kit; and guess what...it's been picked for this weeks catwalk at SiS! Gigi Kennedy, a fashionista at SiS picked it. It's the first time for me on the catwalk; and yes, it feels good!

This picture was laying around our house, waiting to be framed or scraped. It's a picture made in 2004, when Samuel was 6 month's, very busy playing with his toes.
Time flies.

'I'm a model you know what I mean
And I do my little turn on the catwalk
Yeah on the catwalk on the catwalk yeah
I do my little turn on the catwalk'

I was here last night

After months of waiting with the big question in mind; will she show up or not... Last night we went to a concert of Amy Winehouse, I've had such a great time. Her voice is just the best! I love it when it seems as if somebody just needs to open his or her mouth to sing brilliant.
Amy was funny and strange. She walked away from the stage about a 100 times to kiss with her husband (well, I couldn't recognise him from were I was standing, but I believe that Amy is a good girl ;)). The guys, that did the backing vocals, were brilliant dancers and singers.
We want more! Amy Whinehouse is cool!

A new week

Life is busy, and fun, but sometimes to busy for me..
So, this was my week..
Monday:
Worked during the day, came back for a quick dinner with Samuel. Gave the new babysitter instructions and went to Amsterdam for a debate about the Dutch health care reforms.
Tuesday:
A normal day at work, scrap jacked Rhian at night. My first scrapjack!

Wednesday:
I had a long but fun day with my colleague in Zaandam. We are going to 'adopt' a sketchy neighbourhood with our programme to see what kind of benefits the people will have from our new government, in the next few years. So, we were there to meet a lot of inspiring people.

Hung out with my friend Marcia, (she's lives in Florida and is a chiropractor).

Thursday: = "mommy-day"
I've mailed the RAK, at last! I hope that those packages will travel fast.

Friday:
Work and preparations for my B-day party.
A lot of stress about our car, what seemed to be a small malfunctioning thing (I don't understand a thing about cars), is going to cost us about €2000,-. Looking for a second opinion somewhere else.
Saturday:
Hairdresser, Shopping, cleaning....
My belated B-day party. With a lot of great conversations with my friends...I forgot to take more pictures, received a lot of cool gifts to, it was fun!

Sunday:
Realised that there was a little bit to much wine involved. Last minute shopping in Amsterdam with Marcia, who left for Florida this (early monday) morning. Look at the girl in the second photo: LOL!
