RAK winner!

First of all thank you for all your comments!
With some help of Samuel ('no pictures mammy"), I've picked the winner of my little rak.

One of the things in the RAK, will be this great book, I've won it myself during the scrap-a-licious weekend, last month. I'm afraid that it will only catch dust in my cupboard, because I'm not a card maker.

I'll will add some other goodies and send it to:

Congrats Esther!
Please send your address to: rosestreet@gmail.com

I've had a lot of plans this weekend, but I've had to stay home. I've got the flu :(

Happy and Happy

Look what I've received from Aimee and Kerry Lynn

Let it snow, let it snow

Can you believe this? We have a white Easter! It snowed a couple of times today here. Samuel and I've had some fun eating snowflakes today.

I'm taking Kerry Lynn Yearly's "Frameworks" class. It's so inspiring and fun, but for me also very complicated (so many new techniques for me).I've sticked to Kerry Lynn's design on this page and exercised on stitching, painting and layering.

The journaling is about Samuel being 3 years old
"At 3 years you are:
- a part-time astronaut
- you can't wait 'till you are 4 years old
but you are such a big boy already
- Looking for the answer on the question why it's dark in space.
- The sweetest kid in this world.
- Just Samuel.

So this is my 100th blog post! Wow! I like blogging very much (and blog surfing even more), I've had so much fun here till now. So it's time for a little give a way. Please leave a comment and tell me what you'll do if you would find € 100,- or $100,-on the street! I'll ask Samuel to choose a winner next Wednesday!

I love this picture & pubbed?

I'm scanning my external hard disc for some great pictures that I can send to my (first) photo swap partner (ever); kellie.
I've met her a couple of months ago at SiStv, her roots are in the same city were I live now: Hilversum. Now we both signed up for this swap and we are partners!
Looking for the right pictures, I can't decide....is there a photo swap etiquette?
But anyway. I won't mail her this one. Or should I? This is one from last year, while we were renovating a build-inn cupboard in our bedroom. Samuel is helping us, we look like a real family. I love this picture.

PS: Please, when you're in The Netherlands: get yourself a copy of this month's magazine Scrap! I've wrote my first scrapbook-related article. It's an interview with Scrap-in-Style tv's Jeanette Herdman!

Celine

Here are some pictures of me with Celine Navarro, made by Mandy last week. Thank you Mandy!!

I've made this layout during Celine's class at scrap-a-licious. It was all about layering, adding texture with masking tape and painting; I loved doing this very much.

So it was also time to catch up with the 52 scraps up prompts.
Here are. "Celebrate", "favorite colour" and "what's on your mind". The last one is about a story that I've worked on at work.

I have to run now; I'm going to Antwerp in Belgium for 3 days, for work. I hope to have like 10 minutes to do some serious shoe shopping...but I'm afraid that it won't happen..

good weekend

Another good weekend.
The beginning of yesterday was a little disappointing when I've red the main story of the most important newspaper here in the Netherlands. It was the same story as I'm working on for the last couple of weeks, but mine wasn't ready to publish yet. So, I'm disappointed that I wasn't the first to tell it, but It's good that the story is out there now.

At 9:30 I've arrived in Utrecht to take part in the Scrap-a-Licious weekend, hosted by Corinne Delis.
There were about 40 scrappers, from Holland and Germany, with classes from Corinne and Celine Navarro. It was great to meet Nathalie and Anke from Germany for the first time irl.
We had so many good, interesting and funny conversations while we scrapped. It was also good to see everybodys work irl. I've learned a lot of techniques.
I've started an art journal, a mini album and a layout.. still have to finish it all.

After dinner we cropped and we've had a lottery with some awesome prizes. I was lucky to win four!
Most of us went to a cute hostle. I've shared a room with Fauve, Antoinette and Anke. We've had such a good time!

But I didn't book the whole weekend, when we've had to pay I was kind of broke (December, January..), So I went home this morning. it was a rainy day, and we didn't have any plans (this is very rare for us) so we stayed inside. And that was good.
Have a good week!
