week 44

Quite an impressive week, this week. I went to Poland for work, last Saturday. This was very interesting, emotional, thrilling...but I can't reveal anything about it until it airs in our programme.
I worked a lot when I came back, I've prepared a big interview with a writer for Wednesday show, went to the first part of a big trial yesterday, and I've had a background interview with two scientist today. I've missed being home this week, but I've realized to that I have a great job.

Look at these fine goodies!

The mailman rang the door yesterday and brought a package filled with many ,many cards and address stickers from Hope Wallace. She's the owner & designer from Paper Relics, I'm such a fan of her work! These cards are so smart, funny and artstic! I don't know if I'll be able to part of them, I just want to horde them. Thank you Hope!

And you know what!?! I've 'discovered' Ali Edwards. Yes, I was living under a rock!
Well, of course I visited Ali's blog, now and then. But I wasn't really in to her work (duh!), something changed. When I have some spare minutes..I visit her blog to read all her tutorials and old blog post. She's amazing! I hope to do her 'week in the life'-project soon.
Tomorrow is very exciting! My High school is celebrating it's 40th birthday with a big reunion!!! (And I still have no idea what to wear..help me).

Have a great weekend!

My new car

Look at this sweet blue, brand new car!

It's not really mine. It's our "neighbourhood car". Seven neighbours are going to share this car from now on. We had a small celebration yesterday here in Rose Street. It's provided by a super easy system by wheels-4-all. When I need the car, I'll just have to make a reservation online. When I make one 24h in advance, but one of the neighbours has made a reservation to, they will still provide me with a substitute rental car. Although not part of that system; some neighbours came up with the idea that this car could also be used to drive people that can't drive themselfs. There are 3 volonteers already and one family without a driverslicence in this group!

So, we still have two cars, the Renault is still on sale (but the market, well you know), but I don't need a car very often. Here in Hilversum I prefer to use my bike -also for groceries; that's not a problem for us Dutch girls. And when traveling to the city center of a bigger city, I love to go by train. Still, there are situations and destinations that aren't really suitable for bike's and public transport. And finding a parking space at night is very diffucult in this area.
I love 'my new' car and it's a great opportunity to contribute to the environment with some people from or community.

Green is hip, not only because we want to take care of our planet but also because it's big money. Here are two great websites where they are on top of all the new green trends.

Autumn

When I think about Autumn, I think about golden leaves, long walks in the forest and soup when you get home. But now autumn here is more about rain and grey skyes.
This kind of weather makes me miss summer. At the end of august we've had a great afternoon with photographer Florence Bavinck. It is great to have pictures (like this) to bring memories back, isn't it? I'm happy to share some with you.

Last night this singer and her band made me so happy!
We went to Paradiso with our friends Dennis and Linda to see Sabrina Starke perform. Check her brand new album!

Pubbed

So happy that I'm able to share this with you! I'm working with the premium Dutch scrapbook magazine "Creatief met Foto's". I've got the pleasure to write several interviews with great inspiring and important scrapbookers for this magazine. The first in line is Marcia Hamelijnck, I love her style and I love her personality and look at the gorgeous pictures that she's sharing with our readers.
