Sandra leerde ik op de Middelbare school kennen en we hebben al die tijd af en toe contact gehouden. Het is zo leuk om te zien hoe iemand zich ontwikkeld heeft en Sandra is zeker nog steeds zo creatief als ze was toen we nog heel jong waren.
Voor mijn tassen heeft ze een mooie tassenhanger ontworpen die je cadeau krijgt bij je bestelling, ook heeft ze iets gemaakt voor de nieuwe webwinkel Big Bellies. Bezoek haar eigen winkeltje op het geweldige Etsy eens. Ik wil die mooie ketting!

I've known Sandra since highschool, all this time we kept in touch occasionally. It's so nice to see how someone has developed and Sandra is definitely still as creative as she was when we were growing up.
For my bags, she has designed these beautiful pendants that you get as a gift with your order. She has also made something special for this new shop Big Bellies. Go check her own shop on Etsy. I've just decided that I really need that beautiful necklace!

Song of the revolution

Na 18 dagen protesteren op het Tahrirplein en op andere plaatsen in Egypte, is vandaag nadat het aftreden van Mubarak bekend was geworden een groot volksfeest losgebarsten. Dit liedje en clip kwam ik vanmorgen op youtube tegen. Het is de afgelopen dagen gemaakt om het moreel van de demonstranten hoog te houden.

Moorea's blog makeovers

Eigenlijk moet je goede adresjes niet weggeven, dus als ik vragen krijg over hoe ik mijn blog zo mooi heb gekregen zeg ik zo nonchalant mogelijk: "Oh, bij een vrouwtje in Seattle". Maar vandaag wil ik er wel wat meer 'openheid' in geven. Moorea Seal heeft mijn blog ontworpen en alle illustraties die je hier ziet, heeft zij gemaakt. Naast haar grafische ontwerpen maakt ze ook schitterende sieraden.



Haar nieuwste blog project heet The Rebirth of Fresh en Fresh is deze blog zeker. Het is de blog van Nikki die een geweldige vintage kleding winkel heeft op Etsy.
De illustraties aan de zijkant wil ik eigenlijk wel in het groot aan de muur hangen; zo cool.

Actually, I don't give away good places, I want to keep them for myself. So when I get questions about how I got my beautiful blog, I awnser in a as casual as possible way: "Oh, I found this woman in Seattle". But today I would like to be more 'transparent' on this topic. Moorea Seal has designed my blog and all the illustrations that you see here are made by her. Besides her graphic designs, she also makes brilliantly made jewelry.



Her latest blog project called The Rebirth of Fresh. And this blog is sure Fresh. It is the blog of a woman who has great vintage clothing store on Etsy.
The illustrations on the sidebar are so fresh, I would like to frame them and hang them on my wall..
